Well things are doing great over here. LOL. I have been doing lots and lots and lots of sewing, so much sew that I think I could sew in my sleep if I was daring enough to try, But I am too chicken, afraid I might loose a finger or two and I am slightly attached to them so not going to try it.

My plan for the year has been to do at least one craft show/festival booth, that will allow me to carry my craft, a month. Success on that since March, soo much so that I am booked for two shows a month for the next 3 months and November. Which is good because I am getting out there meeting the customers and getting my name out there, Great. Of course the down side of that is as soon as the show is over I have to quickly replenish what was sold for the next one. But I am having a blast. On top of all the shows I have my items in two consignmnent shops and that is a blast because I get to know what the shop owners want and make new items that I would of never thought of making.

So half the year is gone and I swear I just woke up yesterday and it was the begining of the year. Hope the rest of yall are having a blast through your year and if you arent doing craft shows/festivals yet, but thinking about it, just throw yourself into it. The worst thing that can happen is you dont and never know what you are missing out on.

My Husband need to take some classes for his work in Dallas last week so we put together a little vacation for me and the kids, The last time I took time off of my shop was when I had my baby girl 16 months ago. LOL. And I dont really recall the break I had before that.

So while Hubby was in class me and the kids had fun all day long. We did a lot of swimming, went to the zoo and on the way home we went to dinosaur world. When we got home, some distant relatives were visiting so we played a couple more days with them. The kids really had fun with all of their cousins.

Now its Monday, get back to work day and I am finding it a little hard getting back into the groove. The kids too are having a hard time not running out side to play but we will get there eventually.

We did get to have an amazing vacation and with a little one it wasnt too hard on the brain driving there and back with her screaming in the back seat.

We did a craft show at the local Funfest in Texas City, it was a total blast. We made several new friends, and learned a few more things we need to improve on. But here are some of the photos from our booth.



We made our own banner, I let the kids help me paint so it was a little sloppy but also gave it the childish look I was going for. LOL.





Our aprons we a pretty good little hit we sold the cupcake apron set and a similar one in a minnie mouse print. Now I need to make more.



Amazingly the crayon rolls we neglected, I think I displayed too many at one time, giving too many choices confused everyone possibly.





As always our crayon aprons were adored and we sold a few, I need to make more though, and a lot of people suggested we make matching totes for the aprons so they can carry their aprons with them before they get to their destination and then pull it out and put it on, I think that was a great idea and need to work on that.





I made several different pillow case dresses mostly some in a fourth of July print, sold some but not very many, need to definately work on getting some more prints together for the next shows.





Lastly I had some super hero capes, just simple cotton ones, I want to get some embroidered ones done here soon. I am sooo excited to make more items and need to take a few days to clean the house up but other than that we had a ton of fun. My husband made some new friends and ran into some old friends, my daughter who went with us the first day actually had fun too, of course she flirted with everyone that came to our booth, LOL. I really look forward to doing another show next year.

since I last posted.

I dont know where I have been, LOL.
Well biggest news ever: Hubby lost his job.
It really sucks because they told him he was going to be cut because of the economy and get a severance check. Alright that is fine with us, right! Now they are telling us no he got fired because of the performance of his employees (He was the manager of a computer tech company). So no severance check. Alright then. We will live off of our savings for a while.

Not a problem.

So any how we are having tons of fun.

Playing in our vegetable gardens getting them ready for the new growing season. Planting all our seeds that we have been stocking up on for the last year or so.

Went to the zoo yesterday, boy was that fun and it turned out even better when we got there because it was a free day. Didnt know that at first. Coool Beans. LOL.

Davin loved it, he hasnt been there since he was 2 and not sure if he remembers it but he loved seeing all the animals. either tonight or tomorrow night we plan to take him to the natural science museum to see the dinosaur bones.

And more work on the gardens. hehheehehe. So bad thing happened but good things are coming out of it.

NOw if only he can find a better job nearer than the 60 mile drive to near the intercontinnetal airport like before. LOL
