Cara's bio: My name is Cara Martens. I am the 39-year-old wife to Greg and mom to my 15-year-old daughter Codi. Greg and I have been married for 13 years. I was born in Ohio at the age of 14, I moved to Columbia, South Carolina where I lived until I graduated from high school. At 18, I moved to St. Petersburg, FL where I've lived ever since.I began making beaded bracelets when I was pregnant with my daughter. With being a mom and wife, it took a back burner until about two years ago when I became very attached to gemstones. Hence, Moonstruck Gems was born. I have over 100 different stones in various shapes. I tend to stick with the chips as I feel they are more natural. The silver I use is nickel free pewter. Recently, I began making lanyards/badge holders and intend to start making cell phone charms as well. I have several themes available as well: chakras, creativity, communication, psychic power, women's empowerment stones, and others. Each bracelet comes with a card describing healing/metaphysical properties of the stone. No two bracelets are alike & custom work is avaliable. Need a birthstone? I have them. Looking for a particular gemstone or would like certain stones together? I can do it. I also do "mom bracelets". IE: Your childs name and birthstone on a bracelet.I do not currently have a website but I can be reached via e-mail @ moonstruckgems@yahoo.comThe following photo is a Malachite bracelet.

Gemstone Bracelet from Moonstruck Gems

Malachite - An important protection stone. Absorbs negative energies & pollutants easily, picking them up from the atmosphere & the body. Clears & activates the chakras & attunes to spiritual guidance. Psychologically, Malachite is a stone of transformation. Life is lived more intensely under the influence of this adventurous stone, which encourages change. It mercilessly shows what is blocking your spiritual growth. Malachite draws out deep feelings, breaks unwanted ties & outworn patterns & teaches one how to take responsibility for one's own actions, thoughts & feelings. It releases inhibitions & encourages expressing feeling. Alleviates shyness & supports friendships. Malachite goes to the core of a problem, enhancing intuition & insight. Strengthens the ability to absorb & process information, makes you more observant & helps in understanding difficult concepts.Love Is In The Earth by Melody
This bracelet was handmade with genuine crystal gemstones. The gemstones have been infused with love & blessings.

Hi, Cara,

Nice stuff, thanks for sharing! That "Love is in the Earth" book is definitely an old reliable standard, isn't it?

Now obviously I can't resist asking, have you checked out Rings & Things too? :) We're known for our customer service and more...including our popular new(ish) "Gemstone Beads Index". You might enjoy referring to it when you're making those info cards.

It's at http://www.rings-things.com/gemstone/index.html

Take care,
